John Denver Tribute Concert

The Garland Summer Musicals Guild presents “Take Me Home – the Music of John Denver – Starring Jim Curry” on January 26, 7:30 p.m. at the Granville Arts Center.
Tribute artist Jim Curry, whose voice was heard in the CBS-TV movie “Take Me Home: The John Denver Story,” has performed Denver’s music in sold out shows throughout the country, and has emerged as today’s top performer of Denver’s vast legacy of multi-platinum hits. Jim’s uncanny ability to mirror John’s voice and clean-cut look takes you back to the time when “Rocky Mountain High”, “Sunshine”, “Calypso”, and “Annie’s Song” topped the charts.
Tickets: $22 at GarlandArtsBoxOffice.com, 972-205-2790 or in-person at the Granville Arts Center Box Office, open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and two hours before the performance.
“Take Me Home – the Music of John Denver – Starring Jim Curry” is a Garland Summer Musicals fundraiser, supporting the 2018 Garland Summer Musicals Season, which includes Lerner and Loewe’s Broadway and Film Classic “My Fair Lady” (showing June 15-24) and Cole Porter’s song and dance spectacular “Kiss Me Kate” (showing July 20-29).
The Garland Summer Musicals Guild provides volunteer and fundraising support for the award-winning Garland Summer Musicals. Since 1983, Garland Summer Musicals has created major Summer musical productions, which encourage professional artists (through Guest Artist contracts with Actor’s Equity) to work with aspiring performers of all ages as part of a theatre training and semi-professional production company. To date, over 2000 actors, dancers, musicians, technicians and students have participated in the musical performance and intern programs offered by Garland Summer Musicals.
