Now is the Time to Order Your 2015-2016 Season Tickets!

The Garland Civic Theatre Artistic Director, Kyle McClaran, reminds you that time is running out to order your season tickets for a 2015-2016 Season filled with mystery and music. He says, “I hope you will join us for a spectacular line-up of fun and entertainment. We strive to bring you the finest, high quality productions possible, and we appreciate your being with us as we light up the stage with fun, laughter, and magic.”

Garland Civic

  The first production will be a staging of  Into the Woods, the magical musical with book by James Lapine and music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. The production will run Fridays and Saturdays, July 24 – August 15, 2015 with Sunday performances on July 26 and August 2. There is a Thursday preview performance on July 23, 2015.


September 3 – 26, 2015 will bring Agatha Christie’s Spider’s Web. The mysterious production will run Fridays and Saturdays, September 4 – 26, 2015 with Sunday performances on September 6 and 13. There is a Thursday preview performance on September 3, 2015.


Next on the schedule is a brightly satiric comedy, Mrs. California, by Doris Baizley. This production will run Fridays and Saturdays, October 16 – November 7, 2015 with Sunday performances on October 18 and 25. There is a Thursday preview performance on October 15, 2015.


Clue The Musical (based on the popular board game) with music by Galen Blum, Wayne Barker, and Vinnie Martucci, lyrics by Tom Chiodo, and book by Peter DePietro is next. The production will run Fridays and Saturdays, November 27 – December 19, 2015 with Sunday performances on November 29 and December 6. There is a Thursday performance on December 3, 2015.


Following that will be a production of a hard-boiled mystery, The Man With Bogart’s Face, by Andrew J. Fenady. The production will run Fridays and Saturdays, January 22 – February 13, 2016 with Sunday performances on January 24 and 31. There is a Thursday preview performance on January 21, 2016.


March 3 – March 26, 2016 will bring a true minute by minute laugh riot, Fools by Neil Simon. The production will run Fridays and Saturdays, March 4 – 26, 2016 with Sunday performances on March 6 and 13. There is a Thursday preview performance on March 3, 2016.


Rounding out the season April 14 – May 7, 2016 will be the spectacular musical biography of the legendary singer-songwriter frequently mentioned as one of the great innovators if American popular music, Hank Williams: Lost Highway by Randal Myler and Mark Harelik. The production will run Fridays and Saturdays, April 15 – May 7, 2016 with Sunday performances on April 17 and 24. There is a Thursday preview performance on April 14, 2016.

All the above performances will be in the small theater at the Granville Arts Center, 300 North Fifth Street in Garland.

When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a dazzling journey where everyone’s wish is granted, but will the consequences of their actions return to haunt them?
