The Pace House & Tinsley/Lyles House

Historic Pace House in GarlandAn update from Preservation Garland Inc. provided us with further information regarding the current status of the Pace house and the Tinsley/Lyles house. As the rain prevented the lovering of the Tinsley/Lyles house onto its piers, it remains on pilings behind the Central Library. It is positioned next to the Pullman Railcar  and the old Santa FE depot. The Pace house is now owned by Louis Moore and is in its permanent location on Eleventh street, between Avenues B and D. That home has been recycled from what was once a public venue to a residence once again.

Preservation Garland Inc. meets the third Thursday of every month at the Central Library. Meetings begin at 6pm, and visitors are welcome to ask questions or make statements once the agenda has been completed.
