Half-Priced Adoptions on the Square
Is your home in need of a fur-ever family member? Garland Animal Services, in partnership with Garland Pawsibilities, will offer half-priced pet adoptions during Christmas on the Square beginning at 5:30 p.m. Donations also will be accepted for items from the Animal Services Wish List. Adoptions and donations will be held at the Garland Pet Adoption Center, 813 Main St. See details at GarlandAnimalServices.org.
Firefighters Host Holiday Toy Drive
Make this holiday special for a child in need. During Christmas on the Square, the Garland Fire Department will collect new, unwrapped toys to be donated to local children. Collections will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the corner of Sixth and Main streets. After Christmas on the Square, donations will be accepted at any Garland fire station through Dec. 21. Children are invited to make free holiday crafts at the Garland library’s booth during Christmas on the Square. The holiday booth will be open from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Stop by for information on library services and programs and meet Curious George from the classic picture book series by Margaret Rey.
