Garland Summer Musicals Opens Spectacular 2016 Season with Fiddler on the Roof

Garland, Texas, May 17, 2016 — Fiddler on the Roof is the 2016 Garland Summer Musicals season opener with performances slated for June 17-19 and June 24-26. Fiddler on the Roof has won nine Tony Awards, and is currently running on Broadway. Set in the small village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor dairyman, and his daughters. With the help of a tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores. The score includes such favorites as: Sunrise, Sunset; Matchmaker; If I Were a Rich Man; Tradition and many more.
Leading the cast for Fiddler on the Roof will be Randy Pearlman as Tevye. Other leading roles include: Noelle Mason as Golde, Natalie Willingham as Tzeitel, Allison Bret as Hodel, Amanda Childs as Chava, Andi Allen as Yente, Joey Donoian as Motel, Brandon McInnis as Perchik, Neil Rogers as Lazar Wolf, and Chris Clark as Fyedka. Featured roles include: Tom McWhorter as Mordcha, Steve Beene as the Rabbi, Magdiel Carmona as Mendel,  August Gabriel as Avram, Joel Earley as Nachum, Linda Frank as Grandma Tzeitel, Amanda Brown as Fruma Sarah, Greg Hullett as the Constable, Caren Sharp-Herbst as Shaindel, Edward Treminio as the Fiddler and Sydney Pitts and Lily Forbes as Tevye’s younger daughters.  Ensemble includes: Brad Weatherford, Mark Quach, Kyle Fleig, Kenny Questell, Ivan Jones, Sammy Swim, Jonathan McInnis, Nick Chabot, Adam Henley, Seth Ordiway, Robert Twaddell, Emily-Kate Ivey, Stephanie Butler, Kally Duncan, Kimberley Yoxall, Elizabeth Drake, Brooklyn McDaris, Skylar Duvall, Ellen Eberhardt, Jackie Malish, Chloe Bonner, Kelsey Oudshoorn, Heather Willingham and Nancy Lopez.
Fiddler on the Roof is under the direction of Michael Serrecchia. Staff includes: Musical Director – Mark Mullino; Choreographer – Paula Morelan; Associate Choreographer – Julie Russell Stanley; Lighting Design – Susan A. White; Set Design – Rodney Dobbs; Props – Lynn Mauldin; Costumes – Michael Robinson and Suzi Shankle/The Dallas Costume Shoppe; Master Carpenter – Joe Murdock; Sound Design – Tyler Payne; Stage Manager – Morgan Leigh Beach; Technical Director – Tim Doyle. The Producer is Patty Granville.
All performances are held in the Brownlee Auditorium of the Granville Arts Center, 300 N. Fifth Street in downtown Garland. Special college credit in the form of scholarships will be available through Eastfield College and the Dallas County Community College District for anyone cast in the shows or wishing to do technical work behind the scenes.
