Sept. 3-Oct. 4 Garland Eyes Photography Exhibit
Granville Arts Center – Gallery Space
Garland Eyes photography exhibit features awe-inspiring images of Garland, or by someone from Garland, or of someone from Garland. This exhibit is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and during performances at the Granville Arts Center – Gallery Space. Admission is free and open to the public.
September 3-26 “Spider’s Web” by Garland Civic Theatre
Granville Arts Center – Small Theatre
Garland Civic Theatre presents Agatha Christie’s “Spider’s Web.” Clarissa, the second wife of Henry Hailsham Brown, is adept at spinning tales of adventure for their bored diplomatic circle. When a murder takes place in her drawing room, she finds live drama much harder with which to cope. The production will run Fridays and Saturdays, September 4-26, 2015 at 8 p.m., with Sunday performances on September 6 and 13 at 2:30 p.m. There is a Thursday performance on September 3, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $22 at GarlandArtsBoxOffice.com or 972-205-2790.
September 5 “Celebrate!” Mexico 2000 Ballet Folklorico

México 2000 Ballet Folklorico invites you to join in the celebration of important events in Mexican history, as 2015 commemorates 205 years of Mexico’s Independence Movement, 105 years since its Revolution. 2015 also marks Mexico 2000 Ballet Folklorico’s 15th Anniversary! “Celebrate!” includes dance, music, and highlights new dances from Colima, The Revolution, Aguascalientes, Calabaceado, Veracruz, and a Fiesta in Jalisco among others. Tickets: $15 for adults (prior to the date of the show), $12 for Senior Citizens and children under 7 (prior to the date of the show). All tickets will be $20 at the door. September 12 Free Movie “Vertigo”

Join us for Alfred Hitchcock’s story of a retired San Francisco detective suffering from acrophobia as he investigates the strange activities of an old friend’s wife, all the while becoming dangerously obsessed with her. Starring James Stewart and Kim Novak, this is a classic not to be missed. Admission is free and open to the public. No tickets are required. Popcorn, candy, soda and water are available for $2 each.

September 19“Sing, Laugh, Dance…” by C.O.R.P.

“Sing, Laugh, Dance: A Broadway Variety Show” is a fund-raising performance, featuring some of Broadway’s most beloved show tunes. In “The Devil is a Lya, Part 1,” Big Mama is truly put to the test as her family’s dirty laundry is aired, causing a domino effect bigger than a tsunami. Loyalty is challenged, trust is broken, and hidden secrets are revealed, but this real-life drama is not a complete dark ride.
