Have You Seen the Statue
A whimsical, colorful piece of sculpture standing 12 feet high, has been installed in a most unlikely place! In a very narrow vacant lot next to 510 Main Street. Whoever decided that such a wonderful piece of abstract art should be placed in such an obscure location? The statue came into existence as a result of a City of Garland Neighborhood Vitality Matching Grant Program. It seems they couldn’t decide where to put it, and it somehow landed in the front of the lot, facing Main Street, in line with the storefronts on either side. It’s a very fine piece of art in a very weird location, so you’ll have to make an effort to find it. Be sure to make that effort, it’ll make you smile.
