Abhinaya Kuchipudi Dance Academy Annual Recital
Abhinaya Kuchipudi Dance Academy is proud to present to their Annual Recital on May 4th. The Recital will provide three hours of entertainment filled with numerous performances by passionate Kuchipudi dancers ranging from small children to adults who have put in lots of effort to produce a wonderful show. The evening’s program comprises of various performances with intricate dance items depicting Indian culture. In addition, senior students will perform Kshetradarshini, an artful mix of songs describing various temples in India. The Annual Recital will not only highlight one of the beautiful art forms of India, but will also showcase the talent of dancers in the Dallas area. This event is free and open to the public. Garland High School Senior IB Theatre Showcase
Join Garland High School’s IB theatre program for their Senior Showcase. Senior students put on a “Cabaret” style event to close out the four year process of being a theatre student. “Guys and Dolls Jr.” by Webb Middle School
Webb Middle School presents Guys and Dolls Jr. Set in Damon Runyon’s mythical New York City, Guys and Dolls Jr. introduces us to colorful characters who have become legends in the musical theatre canon: Sarah Brown, the upright but uptight “mission doll,”; Sky Masterson, the slick, high-rolling gambler who woos her on a bet and ends up falling in love; Adelaide, a nightclub performer whose chronic flu is brought on by the fact she’s been engaged to the same man for 14 years; and Nathan Detroit, her devoted fiancé, desperate as always to find a spot for his infamous floating dice game. MillerMuller Ballet Spring Gala
Join the MillerMuller Ballet for their Spring Gala at the Plaza Theatre. Millermuller ballet, new to the Dallas and Garland areas, presents an exciting evening of classical ballet including both the traditional “Chopin Reverie” and our full length, original Japanese ballet, “The Samurai Maiden”. “Father of the Bride” by Breitling Youth Theater
Join Breitling Youth Theatre for their production of “Father of the Bride,” the classic tale of a father of the bride who gets the pre-wedding jitters. When his Daughter Kay announces an engagement out of nowhere, Mrs. Banks and her sons are happy, but Mr. Banks is in a dither. The groom-to-be, Buckley Dunstan, appears on the scene and Mr. Banks realizes that the engagement is serious. Buckley and Kay don’t want a “big” wedding—just a simple affair with a few friends! Then trouble really begins. The guest list grows larger each day, a caterer is called in, florists, furniture movers and dressmakers take over, and the Banks household is soon caught in turmoil and hilarity.
