Rowlett Strong

Rowlett Strong, Inc., the non-profit that produced the successful Rebuild Rowlett 5K which gave a
$40,000+ donation to the Rebuild Rowlett long-term recovery fund, announces its next fundraiser
“Scavenge Rowlett.”
Scavenge Rowlett is an urban scavenger hunt played on foot and with a smartphone. Clues, or
“missions” will be released through a mobile app called Eventzee (app developed by a company called
“Munzee” headquartered in McKinney, TX). Players will read the clues, figure out what to do and
ultimately be in search of a person, place or thing somewhere in the historic downtown Rowlett area.
Once they find the object of their mission, they will take a photo using the app and it will be sent to our
judges who will determine if the points for that mission have been earned.
Point leaders at the end of the hunt will receive cash prizes, and there will also be additional prizes for
creativity and other categories to be announced.
After-party will be held at Nick’s Sports Grill in Rowlett beginning immediately after the hunt and
continuing until…
All proceeds from the hunt will be donated to the Rebuild Rowlett fund.
Ticket information is below. Prospective players may obtain a promo code for $5 off all tickets
purchased by donating two or more food cans to one of our participating sponsors. List of sponsors
