Rowlett’s Bayside Project is Alive and Well…

Though development on the South side of I 30 was stalled due to legal actions involving the rights to the marina, work is once again in progress. The former Bay View Marina has been replaced by the Bayside Boat Club which is housed in a brand new building.  An apartment complex with an adjacent parking garage and a La Quinta Inn is already near completion on the north side of I 30. A new developer has also undertaken the enormous project, and things seem to be on track once again. We were told that the lagoon is still part of the plan, as well as the high-end resort, apartments, etc. This is good news for worried neighbors, who waited through the year long delay as anxiety built. When the project is finally completed surrounding property values are expected to soar.
