The Man With the Bogart Face
Presented at the Granville Arts Center by the Garland Civic Theatre, The Man With the Bogart Face is pure entertainment. The lead character, with the help of a plastic surgeon, has gotten himself a Bogart face and a new identity. He even speaks with an accent similar to that of the iconic movie star, Humphrey Bogart.
With the newly minted face, the new Bogie with rumpled trench coat looks a bit like Columbo in this detective spoof. Lots of clever lines, colorful characters and even some cap gun shoot outs. The fast paced two act play kept the audience awake and involved. We were pleased to note that the audience was very appreciative and a great deal larger than usual. Great start for the New Year!
