J McKinnley’s salon receive Best Christmas Decorations award.

We visited the J McKinnley’s Salon located in a small, one story building set back from the I-30 service road heading east, just off Broadway. We opened the door and virtually stepped into a winter wonderland! Dazzled by the decorations in the reception area, we turned the corner into the area where stylists were hard at work to find more snowy vignettes and flocked trees.

Salon owner, Carla Sink, does a Christmas decorating extravagance every year, but this one tops them all! Some of the highlights of our visit (in addition to those in our hair) were a snowy, twinkling Eiffel Tower, a snowman tree and rafters full of cottony snow and suspended snowflakes. Defying description, it should really be seen to be appreciated. Carla used her talents to decorate other locations in addition to her salon. If you should want an over-the-top, show-stopping Christmas tree or other decorations, just give her a call a few months in advance.-
