Eat Out & Tell About It

Two ordinary Garland guys  who do a lot of eating out, decided to get together and provide a forum for other eaters out. They formed “Garland Foodies”, a platform for those who wish to tell others in our area about their experiences, whether good or bad. You don’t have to be a professional writer, or even use perfect grammar, just anyone at all with something they’ve experienced in a DFW eatery that they would like to share.

Jason Collard and Julian Gabriel Olande Mesta have gotten together and created a Facebook group entitled “Garland Foodies”. At this point they are only a few new members away from the 1,000 mark. If you would like to share your eating out experiences, or would just enjoy reading the posts of others, sign up on The Garland Foodies Facebook page. This is a good way to help promote restaurants, or to warn others of some negative issues that they may encounter. We attended a gathering of Foodies at DonArturo’s Mexican Kitchen a couple of weeks ago. An invitation was sent out and all Foodies would receive a free queso and a chance to win a $25 gift card in a drawing. There were about 20 Foodies there to take advantage of the offer. It took place on a Tuesday evening, which is traditionally a very slow night for restaurants. Restaurant owners who would like to invite the Foodies for a special evening at their establishments can get in touch with Julian or Jason.
