GISD Natatorium is Ready!

The opening of this fabulous facility has been postponed due to covid limitations, but expects to be in operation soon. It is ready, the final checklist has been given a thorough going over, and the place is ready for district, state and national swim and dive competitions. The olympic style pool and dive platforms are state of the art. There is seating for 1,200, an led lighted scoreboard, concession stand, lockers & weight room ready for our GISD swimmers. No more bus trips to Richardson to practice and compete, no more need to borrow from our neighbors. This long awaited facility will make GISD swim teams the envy of teams in other districts.
GISD Bulletin:
The community swim program hours and fees will be announced when we are able to allow outside use of district facilities. Our program will consist of lanes available for self-paced training. Available hours and lanes will be announced after all GISD student programs and facility rentals have been established.

The Garland Natatorium is located at Firewheel Parkway, next to a Tom Thumb supermarket.
