Rowlett High School Band Fundraiser to offer unique auction items‏

A Touch of ItalyOn Friday, April 8, 2016, the Rowlett Mighty Eagle Band will hold the 9th Annual Silent Auction & Dinner at Rowlett High School. A full Italian dinner will be catered by Valentino’s Ristorante.This year will also feature a few unique live auction items including a row of seats from the original 1980’s interior decor of a Southwest 737 with ashtrays in the armrests. Troy and Alesia Cox from Rowlett Rustic Creations will present a special art piece for live auction created from debris from the December 26, 2015 tornado that severely damaged over 1,000 homes in Rowlett. Bob Holland will lead the live auction. Bob is a professional auctioneer and the grandfather of RHS band member Victoria Patterson.
Tickets are $15 in advance (by April 1, 2016) and $20 at the door. Doors will open at 6:15 pm, dinner will be at 6:30 pm. Entertainment will be provided by the award winning Rowlett High School Jazz Bands – fresh off their TCU Jazz Festival Championship on March 19, 2016, where Jazz 1 placed 1st in Varsity and Jazz 2 placed 2nd in Non-Varsity. For 2015, Rowlett High School Band was named the Texas Band Masters Exemplary High School Band program – as voted by the Texas high school band directors. This annual award is given to only one high school in the entire state of Texas, recognizing continuous exemplary performance in marching, jazz and concert bands.
