Garland Civic Theatre Announces Cast for “Clue: The Musical”

004 - Clue - 600 x 900Garland, Texas, November 12, 2015 — Garland Civic Theatre has announced the cast for their holiday show, “Clue: The Musical,” which is based on the Parker Brothers’ board game. The “Clue: The Musical” book was written by Peter Depietro; the music is by Galen Blum, Wayne Barker, and Vinnie Martucci. Tom Chiodo penned the lyrics. The production is directed by Kyle McClaran, musically directed by Kevin Sutton. The cast includes Timothy Turner-Parrish as Mr. Boddy, Patty Granville as Mrs. Peacock, Branden Bailey as Professor Plum, Chinazo Onwukaike as Miss Scarlet, David Tinney as Colonel Mustard, Cindy Kahn as Mrs. White, John C. Hogwood as Mr. Green, and Josh Hensley as Detective.
The production will run Friday through Sunday, Nov. 27-Dec. 19, with a Thursday performance on Dec. 3. Performances are at the Granville Arts Center, 300 N. Fifth Street in Downtown Garland.  “Clue: The Musical” is a fun-filled musical that brings the world’s best known suspects to life, and invites the audience to help solve the mystery of who killed Mr. Boddy, in what room and with what weapon. The audience receives forms to help them deduce the solution from clues given throughout the evening. Three audience members choose from cards representing the potential murderers, weapons and rooms; there are 217 possible solutions! Only one hard-nosed detective is qualified to unravel the merry mayhem. Comedic antics, witty lyrics and a beguiling score carry the investigation from room to room. Even after the culprit confesses, a surprise twist delights the audience. Plan to make this production part of your holiday celebration!
