Outdoor Markets in Garland

Farmers Market at Firewheel Mall… Located at the rear of Macy’s Department Store, this outdoor market is new this year and is growing with each passing month. Quincy Brown has leased 2 acres, so he has plenty of room to expand his weekend market. Plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables are available from vendors who are set up and ready to do business every Saturday and Sunday from 9 am until 4 pm. Quincy also has his food truck there, featuring the same delicious butter cakes he was formerly selling at the Dallas Farmers’ Market.

Marketplace on the Square in Downtown Garland operates on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month from April through October. This market features fresh fruits and vegetables, and a variety of other artisan wares. There’s often live music providing a leisurely atmosphere for browsing and visiting with the vendors. On our last visit we watched an artist doing caricatures for only $15 . The City of Garland has contracted with Kim and Kirk Lovett to create this event.

The urban Flea is another outdoor market that occupies the Square in Downtown Garland on the 2nd Saturday of every month. This market has about 25 vendors selling a variety of products, many of them vintage household items. Emily Low, former proprietor of Resurrected Designs, is the organizer of this event. This event runs from 9 am until around 4 pm.  Intrinsic Smokehouse and Brewery is also a participant in this event.
