State Collecting Important Data from December Tornadoes
The City of Garland was notified on Feb. 12 that Dallas County and five other Texas counties had been denied federal Individual Assistance following the Dec. 26, 2015 tornadoes. The federal government review indicated our region had not met the minimum threshold for severity and magnitude of impact.
The Governor of Texas has 30 days to appeal this decision. As part of the appeals process, the State of Texas is collecting damage and insurance information related to the December tornadoes. If you suffered property or vehicle damage or were injured as a result of that storm, please complete the survey at https://www.research.net/r/DECTORNADO before Feb. 28, 2016.
