The Garland Symphony Orchestra Features Trumpeter Kyle Sherman

Garland, Texas, March 1, 2016 — The Garland Symphony Orchestra’s Concert VI of the Symphonic Treasures! season features trumpeter Kyle Sherman performing Arutunian’s Trumpet Concerto on March 18, 8 p.m. at the Granville Arts Center – Brownlee Auditorium.
Mr. Sherman is the Principal Trumpet of the Garland, Arlington and Los Colinas Symphony Orchestras, and Second Trumpet of the Dallas Chamber Symphony. He also performs with the Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano and Irving Symphony Orchestras. Mr. Sherman has also performed in recent Broadway tours, including the national tours of The Book of Mormon and Porgy and Bess. He is an alumnus of the Yale School of Music, Oberlin Conservatory, Tanglewood Music Center, National Repertory Orchestra, and Round Top.
In addition to Mr. Sherman’s solo performances, the Garland Symphony Orchestra will perform excerpts from Wagner’s Das Rheingold, Johann Strauss’ Perlen der Liebe, Op. 39, and Dvorak’s The Golden Spinning Wheel.
