Habitat for Humanity Thrift Store

Located at the corner of Lavon Road (Highway 78) and Crist Road in Garland, this sprawling space is full of donated items for sale at very reasonable prices. The inventory is a variety of new home improvement supplies that are donated by Lowe’s and other local retailers. They also provide a wide selection of new and gently used home furnishings. As we browsed through a hanging rack of area rugs, the store manager explained to us that inventory fluctuates from day to day, so he recommended that if we were not able to find what we were looking for, we could return to at a later date to find our desired items.

We visited on a Thursday to find that all items were 40% off. There was a Kimball organ in working order, with a bench full of music included in the sale price. There were golf clubs, lots of upholstered sofas and chairs, bedroom furniture and cabinetry of all sorts.  There were buckets of paint, paint brushes and spray paints that had recently arrived from Lowe’s. There were also decorative light fixtures, tiles, doors and many other items needed by do-it-yourselfers at greatly reduced prices.

The Habitat ReStore opened at this location in November of 2014. You can find it at 2360 Crist Road, Suite 700, in Garland, TX 75040. You may call the store for more details at 972-495-2400. Before beginning any home improvement project be sure to drop by and take advantage of some great bargains. Open daily Monday through Saturday.
